Growing up in a tight-knit family, Phil has always seen just what money can do and how it can effect everyday life. As he got older, he started to experience his own effects of money, both positive and negative. After spending years debating what to do with his experiences, knowledge, and deep rooted faith in Christ, Phil joined forces with True North Church as their Discipleship Director; helping believers discover and develop their purpose... and also counsel them through real life scenarios along the way.
This counseling gained more momentum and once again, he was witnessing the effect of money had on those around him. That's where HGS began. To educate people on financial literacy, inspire them to save and give, and build them up spiritually and financially for generations to come.
